Frequently Asked Questions
While both policies provide compensation in case of trip cancellation, their levels of coverage differ.
Cancellation Insurance only covers unforeseen events occurring before departure, such as illness, an accident, or job loss, making travel impossible.
Comprehensive insurance, on the other hand, offers broader protection. In addition to covering cancellation fees, it also provides assistance during your trip in cases of:
- Lost or stolen luggage
- Hospitalization abroad
- Transport delays
In short, Cancellation Insurance focuses on the period before departure, while Comprehensive insurance provides full coverage before and during your stay.
This coverage reimburses expenses you have already incurred for your transportation and/or hotel stays before and/or after the cruise (pre- and post-cruise arrangements), in the event that the cruise is modified and/or cancelled by the cruise operator itself. To learn more, click here
No, travel insurance must be purchased before your departure. Once you have arrived at your destination, it is no longer possible to subscribe through Worldia.

⚠️ Cancel immediately if a medical issue (affecting you or a close relative) could prevent your departure.
Notify our insurance as soon as possible—you have 5 days from the moment you become aware of the issue (except in cases of absolute emergency).
❌ Do not delay: If you cancel too late, we will only reimburse expenses incurred at the time of the issue. Any additional costs will be your responsibility.
Cancel at the first signs of a problem to ensure full coverage.
